Monique Armstrong is a dancer, choreographer, educator, and creative leader whose career spans performance, education, and community impact. She began her professional dance journey at just 12 years old with the Toronto Raptors Dance Pack and later trained under renowned choreographer and So You Think You Can Dance Canada judge Luther Brown.

While earning her Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Theatre, and Film at McMaster University, Monique served as Assistant Artistic Director of the McMaster Urban Dance Company, sharpening her leadership and creative vision. Her performance career includes touring and sharing stages with artists such as Drake, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Bobby Valentino, J Man, Bobby Blake, Afesha James, and Jenna G. Though Hip Hop is her specialty, she is also trained in ballet, jazz, and lyrical, earning choreography awards across Canada and the U.S.

A dedicated educator for over 20 years, Monique has taught in Burlington and Hamilton, worked as a lead instructor with FutureSteps, and is currently teaching dance in Cambridge at local community centres and studios, continuing her commitment to accessible, inclusive movement spaces.

Move with Mo Dance

Hey everyone! With over two decades of teaching dance, I bring a deep well of experience—and a whole lot of heart—into every class. These sessions are about getting your body moving, feeling the beat, and having fun in a space that is inclusive, welcoming, and safe. We dance to all types of music, and I love taking song requests to build a playlist that reflects the community in the room. Each class includes an in-depth warm-up and thoughtful progressions, so all levels feel supported and challenged. Join us Tuesdays 8:15–9:15 pm and Thursdays 7:30-8:30 pm. Excited to dance with you—register today to secure your spot!
